Theaterkerk Hemels Twisk

We are René Smit and Gerda Blom, the founders of Theaterkerk Hemels. At the end of 2017 we bought the Dutch Reformed Church in Twisk in order to realise our dream: to live in a special monumental building and to offer space for creativity and connection. This ambition, together with our (work) experiences, ensured that this multifaceted place in the heart of Twisk was created. In the theatre church, music, theatre, ceremonies, meetings and overnight stays are gathered under one roof. Listen to or make live music? That is possible. Drum lessons in a special atmosphere? That’s possible. Would you like to spend the night in the church attic and have breakfast in the church hall? This is possible (from May). Being together with loved ones or with business relations? That is also possible in the Theaterkerk. We hope that everyone who leaves the church will be inspired, surprised, entertained or connected. We hope to welcome you.
