Tim Knol & Nico Dijkshoorn – Gedeelde Passie

  • Saturday 19 April, 20:15 – 22:15 hour

“A few days ago I went to a concert by Tim Knol in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Halfway through his performance I felt like wearing a really big cowboy hat. Polyphonic vocals, beautiful songs and a softly howling pedal steel slowly got me in the mood. Yes, that would have been wonderful, back in the car – for lack of a horse – with my cowboy hat turned upside down on the passenger seat. Coming home and carelessly throwing him into a corner. Then chew on a piece of dried meat…” wrote Nico Dijkshoorn in March 2018 in De Volkskrant.

Nico Dijkshoorn (Amsterdam, May 15, 1960) is a columnist, poet, writer and musician, and Tim Knol (Hoorn, September 12, 1989) is a singer-songwriter. Nico has never hidden his admiration for Tim. He wrote about him: “That cheerfully talking little guy, that little guy leaning on his amplifier, changed before my eyes, just by singing, into a 96-year-old singer-songwriter, who looks back on his songs one last time on his life. Magical” The two found each other in a shared passion for music, musical instruments and storytelling. You’ll just have to wait and see what exactly this special duo will do. Songs, stories written on the spot, a tribute to music heroes, guitars, lots of guitars: it could be possible. Drawing on a lot of stage and life experience, musicality and creativity, this will probably be a controversial performance. But hey, you don’t know. And it is precisely that surprise effect that makes this concert so damn attractive!
