Stoommodellen in de spotlights bij Medemblikker Steamfair

  • Saturday 21 September, 10:00 – 17:00 hour
  • Sunday 22 September, 10:00 – 17:00 hour

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, model builders from near and far will come to the Steam Engine Museum in Medemblik to demonstrate their steam models, often exact copies of original steam engines built to scale. A party for lovers of miniatures and everything that has to do with steam! The demos with the radio-controlled miniature trucks from Minitruckers.nl are also fun for young and old.

Bustling weekend full of activities

During the Steam Fair a varied range of stationary machines, steam cars, a boiler under construction, hot air engines and much more can be seen. The inland waterway behind the museum is bustling with the many radio-controlled (steam) boats sailing back and forth, a feast for the eyes. On the Track 1 track, beautiful steam locomotives drive around puffing with large plumes of steam. Of course, the 7 ¼ museum steam train is also included, where children and adults can take a free ride on the railway line on the museum grounds.

Mini trucks

On Sunday you can enjoy the mini traffic driving around on a track from the friends club Minitruckers.nl. The miniature trucks they manufacture themselves are fully functional scale models, with many hours spent perfecting every detail.

Super steam

The machines run both inside the museum and some machines outside in the machine garden. In the museum harbor you can view the coal-fired bucket dredging mill in operation.
