Oeral Kozakkenkoor – Kerstconcert

  • Friday 13 December, 20:15 – 21:30 hour

The renowned male choir from The Hague will surprise you with songs from the Slavic Orthodox liturgy and folkloric songs from Ukraine. The Ural Cossack Choir was re-established in Paris in 1924. The choir was continued in the Netherlands in 1974, meaning that the choir has existed in Europe for almost 100 years, of which almost 50 years in the Netherlands.

Under skilled leadership, this Ural Cossack Choir has developed into a choir of the highest level. The singers are able to sing whisper softly and yet completely carrying, while on the other hand they develop great singing power without the slightest coarsening.

The singers come from The Hague and surrounding areas. In real life they are a police officer, baker, accountant, butcher, bus driver, sales manager or car mechanic. On stage they transform into tough Cossacks who sing the most beautiful Slavic songs, with beautiful solos by tenors and baritones.

The choir is becoming increasingly famous at home and abroad and has made several radio and television performances, including a performance on the TV program Podium Witteman in 2019.
