In the past, a mistress was a woman with power, prestige, glamor (and a palace). But where was the love? Today’s mistresses are seen as women for whom love often consists of lust and suffering. They yearn and wait for their moment, which rarely comes. But a mistress, says singer and comedian Mylou Frencken, is so much more.
In this performance she searches for her true meaning. Mylou makes no secret of her personal pitfalls and stumbles in love in Mistress. She candidly explores the Art of Loving, drawing inspiration, learning and entertainment from great and tragic lovers such as Madame de Pompadour, Marilyn Monroe, Mata Hari and Monica Lewinsky.
