Gavin has been glittering all his doubts for years but is now Glitter Tired!

We all want to belong to something, a generation, a group of friends, a community or perhaps a cult. However, nowadays this no longer appears to happen automatically. Then you have to make choices, but how? Gavin no longer wants to make everything more beautiful than it is! He doesn’t want to pretend that yoga doesn’t make him very angry, act like the perfect sociable gay all the time and don’t take Instagram photos at important protests that he would rather not go to. But to belong somewhere you sometimes have to go to that one shitty birthday and it’s a matter of adjusting. The world consists of boxes filled with people who want to be the perfect version of themselves, but does this really make them happy?

During his performance, Gavin takes his audience through his identity crisis. What price are you willing to pay to belong somewhere?!

About Gavin Reijnders:

In 2019, Gavin Reijnders ended up in the final of the Leiden Cabaret Festival with his ukulele. The festival jury praises him for bringing a different voice within the cabaret context. According to the jury, he is ‘a boy who likes to live in his songs. His songs are very strong.’ After the finalist tour he will continue and play at places such as Amsterdam Fringe Festival and Lowlands.

In 2022, Gavin will win the BNNVARA TV program Ik Ga Stuk! , where Stefano Keizers looks for new comedy talent. In the program he takes revenge on his old bully through songs, explains that he is more than a Gay Best Friend and applies for a position on the Temptation Island program.
