After winning the SBS6 TV hit ‘We Want More’ in 2020, a duet with Mariza, several released EPs and theater tours, it is now time for something new. The very Dutch Iris Feijen (vocals) and the Portuguese Tiago Lageira (guitar) of the duo FADOpelos2 add double bass and drums to their music.
Iris was introduced to Portuguese Fado music at an early age. Even without understanding the language, this music touched her deeply. In 2017 she came into contact with Tiago and their shared love for this music led to a close collaboration.
In their new performance Viver e Viver, Fado is supplemented with a bit of Jazz and Brazilian music. There are sensitive Fados, but the band also wants to emphasize that this music style has a cheerful, swinging side.
